三峽為台灣知名茶區之一,始於清同治年間,至今已有二百餘年歷史。第二次鴉片戰爭後,清朝政府開放淡水為通商口岸,淡水、三峽、文山一代山坡地紛紛開始大量種茶以利出口,此為三峽茶區之濫觴。在日治時期,茶區以高品質紅茶外銷享譽國際,而在國民政府來台後,因當時綠茶風氣盛行而開啟綠茶之製作。時至今日,三峽茶區為台灣目前唯一綠茶特色茶區,以「碧螺春」綠茶及龍井茶而享有盛名,紅茶及包種茶亦以其優異品質而廣受茶人喜愛,多樣的茶品猶如一部台灣近代史。
Sanxia, a renowned Taiwanese tea region with over 200 years of history, began during the Qing Dynasty. It thrived in exporting high-quality black tea during the Japanese occupation. After 1945, it shifted to green tea production, becoming Taiwan's unique green tea region today. Sanxia is famous for its 'Biluochun' and Longjing green teas, while its black and Pouchong teas are also highly regarded. This diverse tea production reflects Taiwan's modern history.
